This role requires proficiency in working with refrigerants, and the ability to read schematics for effective troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties.
• Diagnose issues with heating and cooling systems using various tools.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and fans.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in HVAC technology or related field.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience in equipment repair.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for van driving duties.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The Lead HVAC Installer is responsible for managing the installation of HVAC systems from start to finish, ensuring jobs are completed safely, correctly, and efficiently. This person must be capable of interpreting installation plans, directing a crew, coordinating with project managers, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service on every job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of installers on residential and light commercial HVAC system installations
• Interpret job plans, mechanical drawings, and specifications to ensure proper system layout and installation
• Install HVAC systems including ductwork, air handlers, condensers, furnaces, thermostats, and accessories
• Perform system startups, testing, and adjustments to verify correct operation
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce company installation standards and best practices
• Communicate with project managers, homeowners, and inspectors as needed
• Train and mentor junior installers to support their development and efficiency
• Track materials used, report job status updates, and maintain accurate paperwork through job management software

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience, with at least 1 year in a lead role
• Proven ability to manage job sites and direct installation crews
• Strong understanding of HVAC system layout, duct design, and controls
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and time management skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders

Preferred Qualifications:

• NATE certification
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification
• Experience with smart thermostats, zoning systems, and high-efficiency equipment
